Three baptism records from the parish of Shillingford St George refer to a Thomas Yewe of Exminster:
1585: ‘The ix day of September Thomas Yewe had a woman child creistened called Pascaw’
1587: ‘The firste day of December Thomas Yew of Eximinster had a man childe creistened called George’
1596: ‘The xiij day of September Thomas Yewe of Eximinster had a man childe creistened there called William’
As does this baptism record from the parish of Shillingford St George:
1598: ‘10 February Dina daughter of Thomas Yeo of Exminster’.
The mother of these children is not named, but the dates are a reasonable fit to a marriage recorded at Exminster in September 1582 ‘The xxviijth was maried Thomas Yeow, & Marie’.
Was there another daughter? A licence was issued at Exeter on 25 June 1616 for this marriage, which took place at Dunchideock: ‘Sunday beinge the Second of July 1616 Richard Blatchford of Staverton in the county of Devon gent: and Mary Yeo the daughter of Thomas Yeo sen of ye pish of Exminster by licence’.

Might there be a connection to the family of Nicholas Yeo and Agnes South?
