John Channons Yeo (1837–1892, son of Philip Yeo and Susan Channons) worked variously as a fish dealer, carpenter and porter. His name, shared by one of his sons and one of his grandsons, has also been recorded as John Channens Yeo and John Channings Yeo.
John married Sarah Ann Stibbs in 1859; their first eight children were born in Plymouth:
– Sarah Yeo (born 1860, died as a child)
– Robert Erwin Henry Yeo (see below)
– John Channon Yeo (see below)
– Sarah Yeo (born 1866, married Thomas Henry Thatcher [note 1])
– Edwin Philip Yeo (1868–1869)
– Edwin Philip Yeo (1870–1962, married Clara Louise Byard)
– Albert Sydney Yeo (see below)
before they moved to London and had two further sons:
– Charles Edgar Yeo (born 1876, married Lilian Violet Beatrice Nash) [note 1]
– Frederick Jesse Yeo (born 1878).
Robert Erwin Henry Yeo, son of John Channons Yeo and Sarah Ann Stibbs, was born in 1862 in Plymouth. He moved to London with his parents and married Emily Reynolds in Notting Hill in 1886. They had three sons:
– William Irwin Henry Yeo (born 1887, married Cordelia Sayer, no recorded children)
– Ida Jane Yeo (1895–1984, emigrated to Ontario, married Alfred Fraser Batch)
– Herbert Lewis Yeo (1897–1950, married Maisie Deering, two children, died in Kent).
John Channon Yeo (1864–1921, son of John Channons Yeo and Sarah Ann Stibbs) married Sarah Mary Ann Masters in London in 1889. They had five children:
– Mabel Louisa Yeo (1890–1865, married Thomas Frederick Cove)
– Louisa Sarah Yeo (1891–1971, married William Ernest Barnes and Thomas Patrick O’Brien)
– Winifred Chanon Yeo (1896–1901)
– John Channon Yeo (1899–1959, married Beatrice Evelyn Griffin)
– Donald Percy Yeo (1902–1978, married Ena Josephine Genin).
Albert Sydney Yeo (1872–1916, son of John Channons Yeo and Sarah Ann Stibbs) also moved to London with his parents, He had six children with his wife Georgina Weller:
– Albert William Yeo (born 1899, married Violet Oliver, five children)
– Sydney George Yeo (born 1900, married Helen Whybrew, no recorded children)
– Ida Mary Yeo (born 1902)
– Violet Georgina Yeo (born 1903, married Thomas Hewland Gardner)
– John Guy Yeo (1904–1979, married Kathleen Devlin, two children)
– Thomas Charles Yeo (1906–1997).

1. Recorded as Sarah Emma Yeo when their marriage was registered at Kensington in the second quarter of 1886.
2. Charles and Lilian had two children: Charles Edward John Yeo (born 1908, married Delmar Davey) and Winifred Amelia Beatrice Yeo (1914–2005, married Sydney Ernest Oliff); nothing further is known about them or their son Charles, and it seems likely that they emigrated.
