Devon-born James Yeo (1841–1920) and Cornish-born Mary Ann Mitchell (1842–1923) married at Redruth in 1864. They had son James Yeo, who travelled with them when they emigrated to Australia but died as an Infant. James and Mary Ann settled in New South Wales, where they had four further children:

– Lavinia Mary Yeo (born 1872, married Robert Henry Cochrane)
– Thomas Henry Mitchell Yeo (see below)
– Eliza Yeo (1883–1939, married William W. Smith).
James Yeo (1870–1944, son of James Yeo and Mary Ann Mitchell) married Dorothea Eliza Green in 1900. They had five children:
– Roderick Edward Yeo (see below)
– Mona Claire Yeo (1903–1906, married Walter William Harrison)
– Constance Muriel Yeo (1904–1982, married Leslie Baden Beale)
– Ella Lavinia Yeo (1906–1944, married Horace Emerson and Anthony Vella)
– Ronald Lindsay Yeo (1910–1970, married Eileen Mary McCormack, five children).
Thomas Henry Mitchell Yeo (1879–1935, son of James Yeo and Mary Ann Mitchell) married Elizabeth Maria Rimmer in 1908. They had a son:
– Laurence Thomas Rimmer Yeo (born 1909, marred Joyce Emily Hood, one son).
Roderick Edward Yeo (1901–1969, son of James Yeo and Dorothea Eliza Green) married Winifred Alice Smith. They had two children, including:
– Clifford James Yeo (1935–1994, two sons).
Sheila looked into this line for a correspondent in 2004 but her initial results were inconclusive. We have been able to expand Sheila’s pedigree after being contacted by Greg Yeo.
