The marriage of Hiram Morgan Prowse (1858–1944) and Emma Maud Yeo was registered at Plymouth in the second quarter of 1882. They had three children between 1895 and 1902 [note 1].
Hiram was in the Royal Navy, which might explain the location of the marriage. The 1939 Register records him as a widower, living at 18 Chapel Street in central Plymouth.
Emma was born about 1867, probably also in the Plymouth area, and died in London in 1926.
