Henry Yeo was born in Bodmin in 1859, the eldest son of John Palmer Yeo and Mary Anne Hambly. He married Catherine Ann Spencer Beare at the parish church in Tamerton Foliot in 1887. They had four children in Cornwall:
– Henry Spencer Yeo (born at 1887 at Pool)
– Walter Mansfield Yeo (1890–1951, married Isabella Sophia Marsh)
– Augustus Beere Yeo (1893–1950, emigrated to Ontario, married Margaret Jane Wood, died in Detroit) [note 1]
– Catherine Yeo (1897–1949, married William Henry Fletcher)
before moving to Wiltshire, where their second daughter was born:
– Ellen Yeo (born 1901 at Stoughton).
They then emigrated to South Australia, where Henry died in 1940.
