Civilians who died during the Second World War as result of enemy action were recorded in a series of books published between 1954 and 1957 [note 1].
The entries in Volume IV include 71-year-old Charles Henry Yeo, a Londoner who was injured at the Granada Theatre in Wandsworth Road during a bombing raid in 1940 and who died the following day at the South Western Hospital in Lambeth.
Charles was born in Bow in 1868 to parents George Robinson James Yeo and Ann Martin [note 2]. He married Elizabeth Caroline Wall [note 3] at the parish church of St George, Hanover Square in 1898; they do not appear to have had any children.
