Thomas was a son of Thomas Yeo and Elizabeth Ann Hockridge, see under James Yeo and Elizabeth Vincent. He was born at Kilkhampton in 1859 and emigrated to Prince Edward Island with his parents He married Catherine Henry and had ten children:
– Thomas Yeo (born 1869)
– Mary Elizabeth Yeo (born 1872)
– Emma Catherine Yeo (1873–1946, married Daniel Webster Anthony)
– Elizabeth Jane Yeo (born 1876)
– Alice Maude Yeo (born 1879, married Archibald Wilson)
– Frederick William Yeo (born 1880, married Rose Ella Cotton, seven children)
– Lily May Yeo (born 1883)
– Walter Henry Yeo (1885–1961, married Elizabeth Anne MacDonald, six children)
– George Yeo (1887–1940, married Jane MacDonald)
– Ena Pearl Yeo (1890–1975).
