Thomas Yeo, a recent emigrant from England, married Sarah Phippen in Boston, Massachusetts in November 1652. They had two children, Elizabeth Yeo (born 1652, died as a child) and Thomas Yeo (born 1654, died as an infant).
Sarah was one of eight children of English emigrant David Phippen (c1585–1650); their surname is also recorded as Fitzpen.
Thomas died in 1658; his widow Sarah re-married in Fairfield, Connecticut in 1660. Her second husband was Nathan Gold, an army major originally from the English county of Suffolk. They had five children.
