William Yeo (1831–1919) was baptised at Merton, the second son of Robert Yeo and Agnes Bews, and emigrated to Ontario as a young man. He married Jane Risdon [note 1] – their six children were born in Ontario:

– Mary Ann Yeo (born 1858, married William Hastie)
– Elizabeth Thursay Yeo (born 1861, married Alexander Hastie)
– William Yeo (1862–1933, married Nancy Brethauer, four children)
– Jane Yeo (1865–1957, married John Hall)
– Agnes Yeo (born 1867, married William Dowding).
Joseph Yeo (1856–1934, son of William Yeo and Jane Risdon) married Sarah Ann Earl in 1885. They had three sons:
– William Joseph Yeo (born 1886)
– Wesley Carl Yeo (1896–1981, married Ada Lynn)
– Russell Earl Yeo (1899–1949, married Laura Mae Thompson).

1. There appears to be no record of the marriage in England or in Ontario. Jane Risdon (1829–1906) had a sister Elizabeth Risdon (1826–1891), who married William’s brother Robert Yeo in Devon in 1850. Jane and Elizabeth’s parents Joseph and Jane Risdon also emigrated to Ontario.
