Thomas was born in Northumberland in 1865 to parents Thomas Yeo [note 1] and Sarah Curtis. He had a younger sister Sarah.
His birth was registered as Thomas Brown [note 2], but his surname was recorded as Yeo when he married Eliza Ann Wildblood at Sunderland in 1889. He died in 1926 [note 3].
Thomas and Eliza Ann had a son Joseph Wildblood Yeo [note 4].

2. The births of Thomas’s siblings Isabella (1863), John (1867), Maria (1871), Sarah (1874), Margaret Jane (1877) and Eliza (1880) were also registered with the surname Brown. When Isabella married Thomas Cuthbertson in 1877 her surname was registered as Yor.

Married Ethel Nearey 1914; nine children, including Andrew Jordan Yeo (1917–1998, married Carrie Hutchings), Thomas Henry Yeo (1918–1996, married Noreen Alice Bloomfield née Bradley) and Mary Elizabeth Yeo (1921–1992, married William Berry Hayes).
