James Yeo and Mary Ann Gillard

James Yeo (baptised 1828 at South Tawton, son of Robert Yeo and Sarah Harvey) married Mary Ann Gillard at South Tawton in 1851. They had eight children:
– William Yeo (1852–1941, married Mary Jane Rayment)
– Emma Yeo (1854–1922, married Charles William Young, died in Canada)
– George Yeo (see below)
– John Yeo
– James Yeo (1859–1937, married Mary Elizabeth Harvey Loosemore, daughter Evelyn Maud Yeo born 1879)
– Ellen Yeo (1861–1869)
– Elizabeth Yeo (1862–1863)
– Elizabeth Cummins Yeo.

George Yeo (1855–1908, son of James Yeo and Mary Ann Gillard) married Josephia Webber at East Stonehouse in 1878, They had a son and two daughters children in Plymouth:
– Frederick George Yeo (see below)
– Edith Josephia Yeo (born 1881)
– Elizabeth Lavinia Yeo (1883–1958, married Sidney George Neill)
before moving to London, where their second son was born:
– Charles Alfred James Yeo (see below).

Charles Alfred James Yeo (1885–1953, son of George Yeo and Josephia Webber) [note 1] married Agnes Maria Pond [note 2] in 1909. They had two sons:
– Sydney George Yeo (see Sydney George Yeo and Elsie Elizabeth Long)
– Frederick Charles Yeo (see Frederick Charles Yeo).

Notes
1. Charles was a publican, landlord of The Black Horse in Abbey Street, Barking from 1907 to 1926. He was landlord of The Hare in Cambridge Heath Road, Bethnal Green from 1928 to 1949; the 1939 Register records him there (as Charles A.F. Yeo), with his wife Agnes and son Frederick.
2. Recorded as Dolly Yeo in the 1911 census.
