Frederick George Yeo was buried in the municipal cemetery at Mortehoe in 1964. He had married Florence Pittard in 1904 – she was later buried with him and is commemorated on the same headstone.
The wording on Frederick’s headstone reads ‘In Loving Memory / My dear husband / Frederick George Yeo / Born 19th February 1871 / Died 2nd June 1964 / At rest’. His year of birth is wrong, and should read 1874 [note 1].
Frederick and Florence had seven children:
– Gladys Mary Yeo (1905–1933)
– Cuthbert George Yeo (1907–1993, married Mildred May Yeo [note 2])
– Kenneth John Yeo (1909–1962, married Janet Robinson)
– Thomas Ralph Yeo (1911–1991)
– Francis Maurice Yeo (1914–1993, married Pamela Ruth Denton)
– Muriel Grace Yeo (born 1920)
– Norah Mary Phyllis Yeo (1922–2014).

1. When Frederick’s death was registered his age was correctly given as 90, so this appears to have been an error by the stone mason.
2. 1913–2004, daughter of Albert George Yeo and Evelyn Kate Coles and granddaughter of Samuel John Yeo and Eliza Ann Conibear, so closely related to Frederick.
