Frederick George Yeo, son of John Yeo and Eliza Ashford, was buried in the municipal cemetery at Mortehoe in 1964. He had married Florence Pittard in 1904 – she was later buried with him and is commemorated on the same headstone. The wording on it reads ‘In Loving Memory / My dear husband / Frederick George Yeo / Born 19th February 1871 / Died 2nd June 1964 / At rest’ [note 1].
Frederick and Florence had seven children:
– Gladys Mary Yeo (1905–1933)
– Cuthbert George Yeo (1907–1993) [note 2]
– Kenneth John Yeo (1909–1962, married Janet Robinson)
– Thomas Ralph Yeo (1911–1991)
– Francis Maurice Yeo (1914–1993, married Pamela Ruth Denton)
– Muriel Grace Yeo (born 1920)
– Norah Mary Phyllis Yeo (1922–2014).

Notes
1. Frederick’s year of birth is wrong on the headstone, and should read 1874. When his death was registered his age was correctly recorded as 90.
2. Cuthbert married his first cousin Mildred May Yeo (1913–2004), daughter of Albert George Yeo and Evelyn Kate Coles.
