Edith Yeo Lillicrap was born in Plymouth in 1877. She married Robert Henry Chapman in 1899 and lived until 1960.
Edith’s birth certificate records her father as Richard Henry Lillicrap, a labourer in Devonport Dockyard, and her mother as ‘Mary Lillicrap formerly Endacott’. Richard registered her birth at Stoke Damerel.
Richard Henry Lillicrap (1852–1893) and Mary Endacott (1854–1928) had married in 1873; no other children have been found for them. Mary appears later to have married James Driscoll.
