Private Edgar Thomas Yea of the Royal 1st Devon Yeomanry died in 1919 at the age of 20 and was buried in the churchyard at All Saints, Highweek.
Edgar was born at Highweek in 1898, the fourth of seven children of Enoch Cleave Yea and Sarah Grace Nickels – see Descendants of William Yeo and Agnes Savery. He appears to have died of war injuries.
