William Yeo and Ellen Tucker

The 1891 census return for Arlington shows 26-year-old William Yeo farming at Huckham, a short distance east of the village. He is listed with his wife Ellen Yeo and daughter Annie T. Yeo. His widowed mother-in-law Elizabeth Tucker, a domestic servant and two farm labourers complete the household.

William Yeo (1865–1898) and Ellen Tucker had five children:
– John George Yeo (1888–1889)
– Annie Tucker Yeo (1890–1970, married Frederick Tucker)
– Frank Yeo (1891–1977, married Ada Priscilla Fry)
– Henry Yeo (1892–1989, married Eva Reed)
– William Yeo (1896–1971, married Ada Walter).

William’s Yeo line does not appear to have been studied in any detail. His grandparents may have been Henry Yeo and Ann Barrow, who are shown in a pedigree drafted by Sheila Yeo in 1995 and tentatively linked to Yeos in Swimbridge. That is the only clue we presently have.
