William Thomas Archibald Yeo and Emily Mary Welfare

William Thomas Archibald Yeo was a grandson of Thomas Yeo and Rebecca Matthews of Brinkworth, Wiltshire. He was baptised at the parish church of St Augustine, Swindon in 1885 to parents William and Ellen Yeo of 13 Henry Street.

William appears to have lived in Swindon until moving to Brighton, where he married Emily Mary Welfare in 1908. They had two sons:
– William Henry Yeo (1909–1990)
– Frederick George Yeo (1910–1980, died in Canada)

William died in 1911.

Emily had a daughter Winifred May Yeo in 1917 [note 1], re-married in 1922 [note 2] and lived until 1957.

Notes
1. The 1921 census for Marden, Kent records Winifred in the household of bricklayer Alfred Croft in Maidstone Road, apparently being informally fostered. She might have married Stanley Edward Cardy.
2. The 1939 Register records Emily living in Brighton with her second husband Cyril Clark Lewin (1889–1959).
