Stanley Edward Cardy (1909–1984) and Winifred May Yeo married in London in 1941. They had a child in 1942 [note 1].
The 1939 Register for Wood Green in north London records Winifred at 22 Lynton Gardens, gives her date of birth as 28 October 1915 and her occupation as ‘Works Canteen Waitress’ – but there is no matching registration for her birth [note 2].
