Stanley Edward Cardy (1909–1984) and Winifred May Yeo married in London in 1941. Their two children were born in 1942 and 1948.
The 1939 Register for Wood Green in north London records Winifred at 22 Lynton Gardens, gives her date of birth as 28 October 1915 and her occupation as ‘Works Canteen Waitress’ – but there is no matching registration for her birth. Neither has a record of her death or re-marriage been found.
