This couple married at Thurlbear, a Somerset parish a few miles south east of Taunton, in 1726. A transcription from Phillimore’s Somerset Registers records that they were both from Thurlbear. They had at least two children: Emanuel Spear and Hannah Ann Spear.
Elizabeth had been baptised not far away at Cannington in 1697. The parish register records her father as John Yeo, but little else is known about her or her family.
