James Yeo (1813–1844) married Eliza Coleman at Dawlish in 1839. They had two daughters:
– Eliza Yeo (1840–1920)
– Fanny Yeo (1842–1934, died in the United States).
James was farming at Oakford, Kingsteignton in 1841. He died in 1844. Eliza re-married two years later – her second husband was Richard Viant (1820–1887); she died in 1855.
James had six brothers and sisters – he was descended from Bartholomew Yeo and Zenobia Halse of Beaford.
