Frederick was born in Notting Hill in west London in 1890 to parents William Richard Yeo [note 1] and Annie Elizabeth Sexton [note 2]. He died in Paris in 1976, at the age of 85.
Sheila Yeo looked into Frederick’s line of descent in 1991. She traced it back to Daniel Yeo and Barbara Easton, who married at Steeple Langford in Wiltshire in 1689, but was unable to contact any members of his family.
Frederick’s parents William and Annie had five other children:
– William John Yeo (see below)
– Ethel Louise Yeo (born 1882, married William Theodore Noakes)
– Annie Elizabeth Yeo (1885–1971, married William Henry Pratt) [note 3]
– Helena Frances Yeo (1888–1892)
– Florence Eva Yeo (1893–1988, married Frank Gilbert).
William John Yeo (1881–1908, son of William Richard Yeo and Annie Elizabeth Sexton) was born in Notting Hill. He married fellow Londoner Florence Benton [note 4] there in 1902. They appear to have been part of a local Primitive Methodist congregation, as their daughter Dorothy was baptised at a Primitive Methodist ceremony. They had two daughters:
– Florence Nellie Yeo (1902–1933, emigrated with her mother, married Howard Otto Haggberg in the United States and died there)
– Dorothy Ethel Yeo (1905–2004, also emigrated with her mother, married Joseph Lindholm in the United States and died there).
