Alfred Burnard Yeo (1874–1938, son of John James Yeo and Ellen Susanna Burnard) married Annie Field in Devon in 1898. They moved to London, where their first four children were born:
– Harry Burnard Yeo (1902–1989, married Ethel Blanche Russell)
– Gladys Primrose Yeo (1904–1984, married Sidney Mason)
– Stanley Gordon Yeo (born 1907, died as an infant)
– Maurice Alfred Yeo (1909–1972, married Ellen Mary Rider).
Alfred and Annie appear to have moved to Surrey, where they had a further son [note 1]:
– Francis Leonard Yeo (born 1912, died as an infant).
Alfred and Annie appear then to have moved back to London, where they had another son three years later:
– Claude Eric Yeo (1915–1971 [note 2], married Doreen Alice Cole).
Later events for the family were registered under the surname Burnard [note 3].

Notes
1. Francis’s birth and death were registered at Epsom. It is possible that Alfred and Annie were only temporarily in that area.
2. Birth registered at Lambeth.
3. It is not clear whether this was a legal change of surname. The events included Alfred’s death, Annie’s death in 1948, Gladys’s marriage, Maurice’s marriage and death, and Claude’s birth, marriage and death. The whole family has been retained within the scope of this one-name study pending clarification of the status of the change of surname.
