Edward Robert Yeo was born at Quetta in India in 1909 while his father was serving there with the Army. He married Nellie Irene Thomson in Essex in 1938. They appear to have had no children.
The 1939 Register lists the family at 16 William Street, Leyton. Edward is a 30-year-old telephone fitter and Irene is a 26-year-old ‘comptometer operator’ (she used a calculating machine).
Nellie died in Palma de Mallorca in 1972 at the age of 59. Edward lived until 1981.
Edward’s parents Edward Yeo (1875–1938) and Margaret Ann Davies, recorded in the 1939 Register at the same address as their son, had married in Wales in 1902. Edward was the youngest of five children of James Yeo (1838–1894) and Lydia Mary Hicks, see under James Yeo and Susannah Poole.
