William Burdin Yeo was born in the United States in 1842. He studied to become a doctor, and practiced medicine in the state of Ohio. Dr Yeo died in 1923.
He was a son of George Washington Yeo (1813–1896) and his second wife Nancy Burdin. In 1872 he married Lucinda R. McIlhaney (1853–1923); they had five sons and a daughter.
