John was born at West Down near Barnstaple in 1876 to parents William Yeo and Mary Harris, so he was 34. Elizabeth’s birth was registered in Plymouth in 1875, making her 35.
John and Elizabeth had married in Plymouth in 1896. Of their nine children, all except Dorothy and Stephen are included in the 1911 census return:

– Stephen Yeo (1911–1982, married Lilian Mary James).
Elizabeth died in 1949; her husband John lived until 1961.
