Daniel Parnell Yea is recorded as a carpenter in the 1880 census for Cleveland, Ohio. He is listed at 8 Logan Street with his wife Margaret and one-year-old daughter Sarah.
By the time of the 1890 census, Daniel and Margaret have moved to Doan Street in Glenville, Ohio. They have sons Daniel junior (age 9) and Albert J. (age 1). Their daughter Sarah is now married, and is listed as Sarah Groudle; she has a 7-year-old son Charles R. Groudle.
Ten years later, the 1900 census records the family at 818 East 105th Street, Cleveland. Daniel is 57, and still working as a carpenter. Margaret is also 57. Listed with them are their son Bert (23), daughter Margaret (21) and son Charles (23) – this information is difficult to reconcile with the earlier census returns.
Daniel Parnell Yea had been born in England in 1851, and had married Margaret Howe in 1872 before emigrating to the United States; he died in 1939. For more information about him, see Descendants of William Yeo and Agnes Savery.
