William James Yeo – a radio operator – married Dorothy Evelyn Miller at a Presbyterian church in the Westmount district of Montreal on 16 October 1939.
The groom’s parents Charles Timothy Yeo and Janet Hamilton Paterson had married in York, Ontario in 1908 but had both died by the time of their son’s marriage.
Charles Timothy Yeo (1869–1918) was one of eight children of William Thomas Yeo and Charlotte Bailey, who had married in Morwenstow, Cornwall in 1857 and had emigrated to Ontario soon afterwards.
