This couple married in the parish church at Bradworthy on 16 June 1563. Despite the age of the record, ‘Thomas Yeo m. Dorothy Heard 16 June’ is very clearly written in the parish register.
Thomas appears to have been the younger son of John and Joan Yeo of Atworthy, in the north-west of the parish. Some researchers record him as a son of Nicholas Yeo of East Bridge, Stratton and a grandson of Robert Yeo of Heanton Sachville, but no evidence has been found to support this.
Thomas was buried at Bradworthy in 1616. There is no record of his leaving a will.
