India and Persia

The Indian Army and Civil Service List for 1873 records two civil service messengers:
– E. Yeo (messenger second class)
– W. Yeo (messenger first class)

Records kept by the British India Office and released in 2020 include Yeo events in the Presidencies of Bengal, Bombay and Madras, including the baptism of Henry Charles James Yeo West at Bangalore in 1812.

John Henry Arthur Yeo, son of John Yeo and Jane Hill, died in Bombay shortly after emigrating from England.

James Corps and Louisa M. Yeo married at Meerut in India in 1921. The marriage is recorded in an Army register.

Daniel Campbell Kay and Nora Boles Yeo were married in Persia in 1934. The ceremony took place at the British Vice-Consulate in Mohammerah.

The marriage of Thomas H. Yeo and Mercia G. Berry was registered at the British consulate in Bombay in 1941.
